AppleTree Learning Center, located in South Bend, is a Level 4 Paths to QUALITY™ Program and has been NAEYC-accredited for 11 years. The center indicated it pursued national accreditation to deepen its commitment to quality and protect the integrity of its program. Accreditation validated the teachers and ensured the best learning environment for their students and families. NAEYC has fostered resilient teamwork in AppleTree’s staff and strengthened their teaching practices. This is seen in the development of a common professional language and culture.
AppleTree says that accreditation has made a large difference in their program. Through the accreditation process, they learned what the highest benchmarks of quality look like. Accreditation also reinforced their belief that high-quality early childhood education isn’t merely about children’s safety and happiness. It is also about how adults interact with children every day. Because of accreditation, AppleTree has developed a warm, welcoming environment where family partnerships thrive.
