My educational journey began in August 2022 when I enrolled in school to earn my Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with the support of the TEACH Early Childhood Scholarship. What started as one goal quickly turned into a passion for learning. As I completed my CDA, I realized I wanted to continue my education and pursue my Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education.

Returning to school as a full-time working mom of five was not easy. Balancing work, family, and a full-time college schedule meant many late nights studying, completing assignments, and making sacrifices with my family. There were moments when the journey felt overwhelming, but I never gave up because I knew I was building a better future for myself and my children.

In May 2026, I proudly graduated with my associate degree. One of the most meaningful moments of my life was walking across the graduation stage at 31 years old while my husband and our five children cheered me on. Being able to show my children that it is never too late to pursue your dreams is worth every challenge. I hope they always remember that age should never stand in the way of achieving your goals and that hard work and determination truly pay off.

None of this would have been possible without the support of the TEACH Early Childhood Scholarship. TEACH not only made it financially possible for me to continue my education, but it also gave me the confidence and encouragement to keep reaching for more. Because of this opportunity, I discovered a love for learning that I never expected.

Although I am taking a short break before returning to school, my educational journey is far from over. My next goal is to earn my bachelor’s degree and obtain my P–3 teaching license so I can continue making a difference in the lives of young children.

I am incredibly grateful to TEACH for believing in me and investing in my future. Thank you for helping make my dreams a reality. Your support has changed not only my life, but also the future of my family, and I will always be thankful for the opportunities you made possible.
