The Indiana CDA Community Programs provides tools, resources, and opportunities for Early Childhood Educators to obtain their CDA Credential.

Read Brittany’s Story below in her own words!

My name is Brittany Doan. I have a supportive group of people, including my husband, who have kept me going during this process. I have worked a full-time job and managed my home life, all while earning my CDA.

After graduating from high school, I went straight to work instead of attending college. I initially applied at my job because I needed a change in work environment, and I loved working with children. I decided to pursue my CDA so that I could better understand child development, and that is when I found Parke Vermillion Adult Ed.

I was nervous about being a student after being out of school for 18 years, but INAEYC and Parke Vermillion Adult Ed changed that. They provided all the materials needed to succeed. With the amazing support of INAEYC and Parke Vermillion Adult Ed, along with my exceptional teacher, I earned my CDA in three short months.

I am so proud to have furthered my education and become credentialed to do what I love.

My goal for the future is to continue my education to have the best impact on the lives of the children I teach.

I appreciate all the support from my loved ones, everyone at INAEYC, and everyone at Parke Vermillion Adult Ed.

My favorite piece of advice, that I would like to give, is that you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, so follow your heart and don’t back down.
