The TEACH Early Childhood® Indiana scholarship provides a way for the early learning workforce to obtain their college education and graduate debt-free! This national program is only available in Indiana through the Indiana AEYC Early Childhood Professional Development Department.

My journey with the TEACH Scholarship began when I attended the 2024 Indiana Early Childhood Conference. During the conference, I attended one of Michael Wiegmann’s seminars and immediately felt inspired to pursue my goal of transitioning from preschool teaching to earning my teaching certification. After applying for the scholarship and being paired with Michael, I received unwavering support and encouragement throughout my educational journey. His dedication and guidance played a significant role in helping me achieve my goal of graduating.

I first learned about Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College through recommendations from several individuals, and I quickly realized it was the right place to continue my education. My experience there was truly exceptional. I greatly valued the support of my professors and especially my advisor, Bob Jackson, who was always available to provide guidance, reassurance, and encouragement whenever I needed it.

As a mother of four children, all aged 11 and younger, the TEACH scholarship provided me with the opportunity to further my education without the overwhelming burden of financial hardship. I am incredibly grateful for the support and opportunities I was given, and I credit these individuals and organizations for helping me accomplish my goals and move forward in my career.
